The Scalextric Model: The Ford GT40 MKII, chassis 1031, is faithfully reproduced in our high-detail classic range. For the 1966 Le Mans 24hr race, no less than 13 GT40s were entered, eight of which were 7 litre MkII's. 350,000 spectators were reported to have gone to Le Mans to see the famous battle between Ford and Ferrari in the most famous sports car race of the year.

This car was driven by Peter Brock and Brian Sampson to victory in the 1975 Bathurst 1000.
Peter Brock, otherwise known as "Peter Perfect", "The King of the Mountain" or simply as "Brocky" was one of Australia's best-known and most successful motor racing drivers. Brock was most often associated with Holden, although he raced vehicles of other manufacturers including BMW, Ford, Volvo, Porsche and Peugeot. He won the Bathurst 1000 endurance race nine times, the Sandown 500 touring car race nine times, the Australian Touring Car Championship three times and was inducted into the V8 Supercar Hall of Fame in 2001. Brock's business activities included the Holden Dealer Team (HDT) that produced Brock's racing machines as well as a number of modified high-performance road versions of his racing cars.

Drifting is a new type of racing, popular in Japan, the US and increasingly in the UK and Europe. Drivers demonstrate ultimate car control and balance as they perform a series of power slides and fish tails. Race winners are usually the last ones to spin! The Scalextric Powerslide set offers 2 strikingly liveried Nissan 350Z cars - increasingly the Drift racer car of choice. The cars are fitted with unique guide blade systems that allow 360 degree movement. The challenge is to fish-tail the car around the perfectly shaped figure of 8 circuit and send tyre wall piles flying! It's great fun and, remember, points will be awarded for style!

Compatible to race against all other Scalextric cars since the solo packaged cars’ guide system is quickly converted to behave just like a standard guide system simply by inserting the two supplied screws.
