Most Scalextric cars, from 1957 to current date, can be converted to digital operation. The conversion requires hobbyist skills and some tools including a soldering iron.

The unit counts down the number of laps remaining in your race, from sprint challenges to endurance racing (up to a maximum 999 laps). With a built in start sequence and false start penalties racing is more realistic than ever before. The Digital Lap Counter displays the laps remaining along with the number of the race leader. At the end of the race, the unit displays the finishing order.
